See the first beneficiaries of my 'I'd Rather Be SelfMade' project. Over N5million given away

I am so excited and I can't wait to help more young ladies start their own businesses. So earlier this year, I announced that I was going to set aside a N10million grant to help young ladies with dreams, ambition and great business ideas to start their own small scale businesses. (Read here). And finally, I've done it. I've spent over N5million on 15 girls...and I have another N5million to give away before the end of the year. You have a great business idea and need start up capital? I'm here to help! .:-)

So here's how it happened. I met with over 800 ladies in January this year, I got a panel to look at their proposals, we asked about 50 of them to present their ideas to us and then we shortlisted to 15 girls who are the first beneficiaries of the 'Linda Ikeji I'd Rather Be Selfmade' project. Above are 11 out of the 15 beneficiaries. Four girls who live outside Lagos (Jos, Umuahia, Ibadan and Warri) couldn't make it to our meeting this past Sunday August 23rd. President Buhari Tuesday in Abuja blamed past administrations for the current situation in which Nigeria is forced to spend billions of Naira annually on alleged subsidies for petroleum products. Speaking at a meeting with the Chairman and members of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, President Buhari expressed the view that the escalation of petroleum subsidy payments over recent years was due to the deliberate neglect of the nation's refineries, oil pipelines and other related infrastructure to allow the importation of petroleum products and corruption to thrive.

"I sometimes spend the weekend at my boyfriend's place. He deflowered me and I don't have any regret but I suddenly began to realize that he grumbles whenever I visit him during my menstruation. He would reluctantly give me 1k for transport. Another thing I observed is that he gives me money based on the rounds of sex he has with me. Let's assume we had sex 5 times, he would give me 5k for transport and on the day or weekend we have it 3 times he would give me 3k. Is this normal or its just a way of paying 1k for each round of sex?

"Please help use your medium to locate the family of this woman. I saw her at Atan, Ogun state on Friday morning lying by the road side. By Sunday evening, she was still on the spot. So I summoned courage to approach her. On closer inquiry, I gathered that her name is Grace Ukaire from Umunze.

A 'dead' teenager woke up in her coffin and screamed for help one day after she was buried – but died again before desperate relatives could save her. Grieving family members pictured above breaking through the concrete tomb from where Neysi Perez, 16, had been heard 'banging and screaming'.

Relatives who removed the girl's corpse found that the glass viewing window on her coffin had been smashed and the tips of her fingers were bruised. But despite efforts to revive her medics found no signs of life and she was later returned to the cemetery and reburied in the same mausoleum.
