Photo: Third suicide bomber in Paris terror attacks identified

The third suicide bomber behind the terrorist attacks at Bataclan concert hall has been identified as Foued Mohamed Aggad, Le Parisian reports.
The 23-year-old from Strasbourg, bursts into an Eagles of Death Metal performance in the venue where 89 people were killed by gunfire and explosions. French authorities learned of Mohamed's identity through DNA evidence more than a week ago, but waited until today to reveal his name.

Soyinka calls for caution on Biafran agitation

Nobel laureate Wole Soyinka has called on the Nigerian government to be cautious in dealing with the recent Pro-Biafrans agitations. Soyinka made the call during a recent interview with Channels TV
"I wrote an article during the war that Biafra cannot be defeated. People misunderstood what I was saying. Once an idea has taken hold, you cannot destroy that idea. You may destroy the people, the carriers of that idea on the battle field but ultimately it’s not the end of the story.

Boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury stripped off IBF title just two weeks after winning it

Tyson Fury has been stripped off the IBF title he won two weeks ago after former title holder Wladimir Klitschko exercised a clause entitling him right to a rematch if he so deemed fit.

Fury beat long-standing champion Vladimir Klitschko in Dusseldorf last month to bring the Ukrainian's four belts back to Britain. The IBF insists Fury should fight challenger Vyacheslav Glazkov and opened up a bidding process for its purse two days after Fury's victory.

Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria who was facing N18bn fraud allegation found dead in Abuja

The Rector of Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron in Akwa Ibom state, Joshua Okpo, who is facing a N18 billion fraud allegation, was found dead in his Abuja residence yesterday Dec. 8th. According to reports, Okpo had traveled to Abuja to appear before the senate committee on Transportation when he slumped and died in his home. His colleagues who traveled to Abuja with him had arrived the National Assembly and was waiting for his arrival. When he did not show up and was not taking any of their calls, they decided to visit his home where they found him dead.

Nigerian drug dealer jailed in London for possession of 79 wraps of cocaine and heroin

A Nigerian drug dealer has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison after police found 79 wraps of class A drugs hidden under a bath in Chelmsford, Essex.

Lekan Awosika, 25, of Central Park Road, East Ham, was sentenced at Chelmsford Crown Court on November 27, 2015 after he was found guilty of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
